Marabu has launched the ClearShield Select line of water-based liquid laminates for wide-format print. The line utilizes water-based coating technology with UV inhibitors to extend the life of prints with improved outdoor protection and chemical and mar resistance, plus simple application and clean up, according to the company.

ClearShield Select, offered in gloss, semi-gloss, and matte finishes, is engineered for manual and automated application for substrates including vinyl, banners, and rigid substrates. ClearShield Select for StarLam is formulated for use with roll-to-roll liquid laminators on digitally printed vinyl, banners, and fleet graphics. ClearShield Professional Transit features a two-part system for scratch and abrasion resistance for demanding applications such as truck tarpaulins and inflatables.
