ImageWorld Conference in Mexico

Event for the signmaking, screen printing, and digital-printing industries takes place in August

The 9th annual imageWorld is scheduled for August 17-19, 2006 at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City, Mexico. The three-day event is expected to draw more than 10,000 signmakers, screen printers and digital printers throughout Mexico and Latin America.

“Our goal is to provide Latin American graphics professionals with the latest technology and product information that they need to grow their businesses,” says Tedd Swormstedt, president of ST Media Group, which owns the event. Attendees will be able to view new product and technology demonstrations, see 170 brands of assorted products and equipment, and make connections with suppliers and manufacturers in their respective industries.

In addition, attendees will be able to learn methods of boosting their efficiency and productivity with the return of educational programming to the event. “We will continue to build upon the educational programs that began last year, by offering 27 seminars providing tips, trends, and business advice in the signage, screen-printing and digital-printing markets,” says Swormstedt.

The educational sessions are developed by Signs of the Times & Screen Printing en espa??ol magazine, an ST Media Group property, and will be presented by field experts. A complete seminar list will be made available as speakers and topics are arranged; session in 2005 included:

“? Maintaining sign shop production workflow;
“? How to run a profitable sign business;
“? Implementing new technology for screen printers;
“? Software;
“? Vinyl applications;
“? Using digital substrates;
“? Printing special-effect inks;
“? Choosing capillary films and emulsions; and
“? Textile printing.
