Fujifilm has introduced the new Acuity Advance HS (high speed) wide-format UV flatbed printer. The latest in the company’s Acuity line of printers, the Advance HS offers photographic-quality printing at production speeds of 430 sq ft/hr, as well as a new Express mode that features speeds of more than 700 sq ft/hr.

The Advance HS is a 4-color (CMYK) + white flatbed designed to provide precise registration and edge-to-edge printing. The machine features proprietary piezoelectric, UV-cure printheads that supply 6- to 30-picoliter, variable-dot, grayscale-imaging technology. The white-ink module allows utilization of white ink as part of the image, or as an under- or over-print application layer; white can also be printed in-line (up to three distinct layers).

Maximum flatbed print size is 49.2 x 98.8 in.; maximum substrate thickness is 1.89 in. A roll-to-roll module is optional, allowing for media from 36 to 86.6 in. wide. Maximum roll and core diameter is, respectively, 9.45 in. and 3 in.; maximum roll weight is 110 lbs.
The Advance HS features Fujifilm’s edition of ColorGate production server and Onyx ProductionHouse workflow software.
