Epson has released the SureColor P10000, a 44-in. wide-format printer for producing display graphics and fine art photography. Positioned as a more compact version of the released earlier this year, the machine employs the same 8000-nozzle, 10-channel PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead for droplets as small as 3.5 pL and has a max. resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi. The company’s UltraChrome Pro pigment ink set features four levels of gray ink technology, plus dedicated photo and matte blacks and a reformulated yellow.

Additional features include Resin Encapsulation Technology for uniform gloss application; an advanced media feeding system with a pattern recognition algorithm and inductive rollers; cut sheet media handling; border-free printing for certain sizes; and a 320-GB internal server. Users can also elect to add an automatic take-up reel system for large print runs.
