Software manufacturers Enfocus and Caldera have partnered to launch two data configurators, Nexio Submit and Nexio Collect, which will enable two-way communication between Enfocus Switch automation software and Caldera RIP. Nexio Submit sends job parameters and customer data from Switch through Caldera Nexio JDF/JMF connector and on to the RIP. Nexio Collect then returns post-processing data, such as ink and media consumption and other production factors, to Switch upon completion or rejection of the job. Print providers will be able to automate job submission, creation, finishing, and processing, including automatic job status notifications for web-to-print customers.

The configurators will soon be made available for download for Enfocus 12 users, and will be built into Enfocus 13.
