Enfocus has announced the availability of Switch 09, the tool that enables users to automate repetitive tasks associated with receiving and sorting files. Switch continues to be available in three flavors: LightSwitch (entry level), FullSwitch, and PowerSwitch.

New features include: Easier creation and editing of workflows; professional e-mail support; ability to split multi-page PDF files into single pages or ranges of pages, plus a tool to merge separate PDF files into one consolidated file; a collaboration tool, SwitchClient, to allow operators (and clients) to submit jobs and make decisions on jobs; and a third-party integration feature that enables communication between Enfocus Switch users and vendors.

The initial release of Switch 09 is expected to include the following additional configurators: GMG Connect for color management and proofing; ICS Remote Director for color-accurate monitor proofing; WoodWing Enterprise and Dutch Software Elvis are content publishing platform tools; and support for Microsoft Word.
