Eastech Adds White Ink and Scutum UV8720S

Eastech has announced that all of its
Scutum and Octra wide-format printers
now offer white ink as an option. The
company reports that it currently has
approximately 10 printers installed with
white ink.

In addition, Eastech has introduced its
latest printer”?the Scutum Light UV8720S
printer. With a maximum print width of 86
in. and 6-colors plus white (CMYKcmW),
this UV-curable printer can print on flexible
and rigid media (up to 1.0 mm thick).

It offers a maximum resolution of 360
x 720 dpi, three print modes (High Speed,
Production, and High Quality), and speeds
up to 801 sq ft/hr in High Speed. In addition,
the Scutum Light UV8720S also features
Spectra printheads, 2-liter ink tanks,
and an automatic ink refill system. This
printer also offers the option to switch
from UV-curable inks to solvent inks.
