Canon has unveiled the Océ Colorado 1650 large-format, roll-to-roll digital printer. The 64-in. press features Océ FLXfinish LED curing with the option for matte or gloss output for each print without changing inks or media; integrated double-sided printing; and expanded media options such as uncoated papers, polyester textiles, and SEG media.

The 1650 uses Canon UVgel ink with features including stretchability of cured ink droplets with no cracking in applications that require cutting, bending, and creasing, the company reports.
