Canon and Arizona State University have announced a long-term partnership to create a “Sustainable Digital University” at Arizona State University. Utilizing Canon digital technology, the program aims to set new standards for digital document management and handling at Arizona State and guarantee the university’s continued success as a national leader in sustainable research, education, and solutions. Through this initiative, Canon and Arizona State will seek to identify cooperative research projects and test new Canon digital technologies.

Canon will initially work with Arizona State to launch a digital print management program across its campuses and to upgrade the university’s copy centers, the company reports. In addition to Canon’s imageRunner copiers and multi-function printers, the imageProGraf line of wide-format printers also will be installed in the copy centers, although company representatives cannot yet identify which specific models will be integrated. Canon also plans to open a digital showroom on the Tempe campus.
