Azonprinter has announced the Azon Matrix Leather direct-to-substrate press, designed to image leather and artificial leather substrates for custom pieces or large production runs for applications including interior décor, fashion, and promotional products. With an 82.7 x 63-in. bed, the press is engineered to image substrates up to 7.9 in height with Automatic Substrate Detection technology. Matrix Leather Ink, in a closed-ink system with CMYKcm + orange + green standard configuration, offers scratch- and water-resistant prints, according to the company. Additional features include zoned vacuum tables, adjustable IR lamps designed for increasing ink absorption, 1200 x 1200 dpi max. resolution, and Azon RIP software.
