Apago has upgraded its PDF Shrink file-reducing utility to version 4.1. PDF Shrink functions directly from the OS X print center or a desktop Photoshop droplet, offering users the ability to reduce PDF file sizes, making them easier to use ine-mail attachments, on the Web, for on-screen reading, and more. The product is compatible with PDF files created by Mac OS X iLife and iWork, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Work and PowerPoint- reducing them by as much as 90% of their original size.

Version 4.1 adds improved job management- making it easier to add, delete, and re-order pending jobs; the ability to clear job history; and the option to overwrite the input file that allows users to maintain existing file- and folder-naming conventions. Price: $35; free to 4.0 users; upgrades for PDF Shrink 3.0 users are $14.
