3M Commercial Graphics has introduced a new brand – Envision – and its 3M Envision Translucent and Diffuser Films, optimized for use with LEDs. The films are designed to enable signage producers to achieve the same level of brightness with fewer LEDs or, alternately, keep the same number of LEDs and increase a sign’s brightness. The diffuser films are available with two levels of light transmission (50% and 60%); the translucent films are available in various standard colors, custom colors, and as an inkjet printable film. While specially optimized for use with LEDs, the new films are also compatible with fluorescent lights.

In addition, the company has debuted the first products in its new line of 3M Envision Wrap Films: 3M Envision Print Wrap Film 480Cv3 and Envision Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8548G. High-performance, non-PVC graphic films designed to combine performance with a sustainability edge, the Envision wrap films are compatible with latex, UV, and some solvent inkjet inks (they’re also compatible with UV and solvent screen printing inks, says 3M). Features include: high conformability (stretch up to 150%); ability to install in extreme temperatures; fast removal; durability; and more. In addition to being PVC-free, the Envision films are also free of added chlorine and other halogens as well as phthalates. 3M Envision Wrap Films are backed by the 3M MCS Warranty and Performance Guarantee.
