Family is the most important thing in the world to Crosby. “Without them, the rest doesn’t matter,” he says. “I have my soulmate, four grown children, and six (soon to be seven) grandchildren.” Crosby’s work-life balance secret? “In today’s digital world, it’s too easy to be at work 24/7,” he says. “It’s so important to carve out the time to be home!” Home for Crosby and his wife is Costa Rica – where he looks forward to spending the winters with family and friends in the sunshine and warmth – as well as Ontario, Canada. “Travel is a great family experience and a wonderful learning tool for the kids to understand the bigger picture,” he says. “If you’re going to be in sunshine and warmth, you should find a way to enjoy the outdoors,” he says. “For all those years we were in the Great White North, hockey was the winter pastime. Playing, coaching, refereeing, and being a Toronto Maple Leaf fan were things we shared as a family.”
