Say These 5 Words When You’ve Been Unfairly Criticized

when to use it: If you find yourself the target of a criticizer.

how to use it? If the criticism made is valid, you can respond honestly and attempt to improve your weakness. But if it’s not valid, as is more often the case with people who criticize frequently, you can decide whether to ignore the criticism or address it. If you choose to respond with “Thank you for your opinion” the first time (or first couple of times), it signals your displeasure with the criticism without being aggressively confrontational … and brings the conversation to a quick close.
