The Alameda Company has released two new proofing products: FXEP semi-matte media and FXXP photo paper.

Its FXEP semi-matte contract proofing media is designed for the HP Z-series printers as well as Epson’s 7600, 7800, 9600, 9800, and 4800 printers with Ultrachrome and K3 inks. The media is FOGRA-certified and is instant drying; the company reports that its light weight (7 mil) allows for heavy handling and folding. A special back-surface coating reduces curl.

Alameda’s FXXP XP photobase paper (also 7 mil) is available in both gloss and satin finishes. A high-bright, instant-dry media, it features a resin-coated base sheet and can be used for contract proofing as well as indoor signage and displays.
