“IT IS AMAZING what kind of business relationships you can establish with a company after a simple, candid conversation!” says Frankie Markasovic, vice president and co-owner of Graphic Image Corp. (Orland Park, IL). Markasovic knew the owners of local client Strategize Wealth Management Group through his high school. However, they didn’t know Graphic Image could produce this project until he chatted with them while they picked up a simple foamboard sign.

The Graphic Image team designed the entire project. “We had one version of their logo that we manipulated, with approvals of course, to best utilize branding in each of the office spaces you see,” Markasovic says. They exclusively use Adobe products, mainly Adobe Illustrator, which he refers to as “The GOAT!” Overall, about two weeks of design time were required after the site survey was conducted.

The shop printed the vinyl wall graphics on Avery Dennison MPI 1105 Wrapping Film using their HP Latex 800 W. They then laminated with Avery Dennison DOL 1380 3D Matte by way of their Graphtec laminator. “The conference room window ‘frost’ was actually latex printed with white ink on 3M Controltac Print Film 40C-114R (with a custom/approved opacity setting) to simulate window frost,” Markasovic says. “This was the direction we chose to meet customer needs and budget.”

All dimensional wall graphics were fabricated from ½-in. black acrylic — some have printed colors on the face of the acrylic; others have mounted, brushed-silver aluminum faces. These were CNC’d on the shop’s MultiCam Celero 3 router and fabricated by the Graphic Image team, Markasovic says. The black acrylic and brushed aluminum create a timeless aesthetic that the client really loves. “I made this suggestion to help break apart a lot of the green in the office space to help provide some contrast and depth,” he adds.

Now this customer has inquired about branding their Joliet office. “They love their Orland Park office and want to ensure their other branch has the same look and feel,” Markasovic says. “Gotta love making such a good impression, the customer wants MORE!”
