(PRESS RELEASE) CHICAGO — The Wallcoverings Association (WA) announced that the Allman Award, its highest honor, is awarded to Marybeth Shaw, Chief Creative Officer, Design and Marketing at Wolf-Gordon, at WA’s Annual Meeting in Clearwater Beach, Florida, January 27–30. The industry’s most prestigious award is named for WA’s founder and is presented each year to a leader who has made a long-lasting, positive contribution to the wallcoverings industry.

With over two decades of success in building concept-driven brands, products, and environments for organizations in commercial design and green building—Shaw has built long standing inspiration amongst her team and within the industry. As Chief Creative Officer at Wolf-Gordon, Shaw is the driving force behind the brand’s management, product design, and marketing. In her role, she not only navigates toward design excellence across diverse product categories but also orchestrates captivating digital, two- and three-dimensional projects that weave a narrative of the company’s
progressive character.

Shaw is a dedicated champion of sustainability at Wolf-Gordon and within the wallcoverings industry. Since 2021, she has brought her expertise to the WA board,
currently serving as the co-chair of the Technical Committee, where she is working to explore recyclability initiatives. Shaw’s commitment to sustainability traces back to the impactful work her own design studio, Shaw-Jelveh Design, executed for the U.S. Green Building Council, showcasing a profound dedication to a greener and more innovative future.

“The wallcoverings industry continues to be inspired by the leadership of Marybeth Shaw, a force driving innovation, design, sustainability, and excellence,” said Sarah Tiwana, Executive Director at the Wallcoverings Association. “Marybeth’s commitment to advancing the industry is truly admirable and widely appreciated.”

Shaw adds, “I’m so honored to receive the Allman Award from an industry that has been a vitally important community for me over the years. The award motivates me to continue working to strengthen the WA and to ensure the relevance of our products into the future.”
