Leggett & Platt Digital Technologies will relocate its R&D, service, and training facilities to Fort Lauderdale, FL. L&P has been manufacturing its Virtu printer and supplying parts from Fort Lauderdale since 2003; its corporate offices are in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

“We have been scheduling customer demonstrations in Fort Lauderdale for some time now,” says Sam Featherston, vice president of sales. “With the increased number of demos, and sales, it's imperative that we can meet customers at a moment's notice. The reduced travel time allows us to provide better sales for demonstrations and sample making.”

The company's corporate offices will remain in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Spuhl, Switzerland, in conjunction with L&P Digital, will continue manufacturing, sales, and service of Virtu printers for Europe and other international markets.

L&P Digital also has announced that its Virtu 7200, introduced at the SGIA show in the autumn of 2004, is in its final stages of beta testing; the printer is scheduled for delivery during the first quarter of 2005. (Leggett & Platt Digital: www.lp-digital.com)
