Ilford has launched a trio of new OmniJet Instant Dry film products for the wide-format market. All three are polyester-based, all feature the company's 'instant dry' receiving layer, and all are compatible with dye and pigment inks:

* Instant Dry Glossy Portable Display Film: Available in 230- and 400-gsm, this matte white film has a gray opaque backing layer and is designed for use with piezo and thermal inkjet printers. It can be used unlaminated for short-term displays, Ilford reports, and is suitable for collapsible and frame-supported displays. Available in sizes from 17 in. x 67 ft to 50 in. x 100 ft.

* Instant Dry Glossy Photo White Film is a 215-gsm glossy white film designed for use with piezo and thermal inkjet printers. It can be used un-laminated with both dye and pigment inks to produce high-gloss images for short-term indoor display; when laminated with a suitable protective film, Ilford reports that it's ideal for long-term pop-up display applications for exhibitions, trade fairs and P-O-S apps. Sizes: 24 in. x 100 ft to 50 in. x 100 ft.

* Instant Dry Glossy Backlit Display Film, is a 190-gsm film with high opacity for lightbox applications. Sizes: 17 in. x 100 ft to 50 in. x 100 ft.
