Gerber Scientific Announces New Appointments

Five key executive assignments aimed at driving company growth

Gerber Scientific has announced that, effective November 1, Gregory Wolf will succeed Elaine Pullen as president of Gerber Scientific Products (GSP), the Gerber division that develops and manufactures computerized signmaking and specialty graphics systems, software, materials, and accessories. Wolf is currently executive director of sales and marketing at GSP, and previously director of business development at Gerber Scientific Inc. Elaine Pullen has been named to the newly created position of chief technology officer of Gerber Scientific Inc., effective November 1. Currently the president of Gerber Scientific Products, Pullen will guide the company's strategy and implementation when it comes to new technologies and products.

“Gerber Scientific's strategic focus is increasingly shifting to initiatives aimed at driving growth, as we work toward the completion of our successful three-year turnaround plan,” says Marc T. Giles, president and CEO. “The development of new technologies and products is key to our future success by enabling us to expand our current leadership positions and to penetrate exciting new growth markets, such as China.”

Gerber announced three other appointments as well:

— James Arthurs, currently president of Gerber Technology, has been appointed to the newly created position of president, Asia-Pacific, Gerber Scientific; in addition, he has been named non-executive chairman of Gerber Scientific Technology, effective February 1, 2005.

— John Hancock, currently president of Gerber Coburn, succeeds Arthurs as president of Gerber Technology, effective February 1, 2005.
