FontCreator v 5.6 Now Available

FontCreator v 5.6, a full-featured font editor, has been released by High-Logic. Windows-compatible, this latest version of FontCreator is designed for the creation and modification of TrueType and OpenType fonts and is available in Home and Professional editions.

The FontCreator Home edition allows for opening, saving, and extracting font files; outline editing (basic vector paint tools, guidelines, import images, manual editing of glyphs); and provides features such as manual kerning and editing of naming fields and glyph metrics.

The Professional edition, geared towards graphic designers, allows for advanced contour operations (split and merge contours); batch transformation of glyphs (transform scripts to turn entire character sets into bold, italic, hollow, or condensed fonts); a font-validation wizard and real-time glyph validation; an automatic kerning wizard; and more.

Price: $79, Home edition; $149, Professional edition.
