Epson SD-10 Spectrophotometer

Compact, battery-powered color measurement for SureColor presses.

Epson has revealed the company’s first spectrophotometer, the SD-10 color measuring device for SureColor wide-format printers. The compact, battery-powered SD-10 can be used as a standalone spectrophotometer via built-in LCD display or wirelessly connected to a smartphone through a mobile app to record measurements, build custom color libraries, find similar Pantone colors, compare measured colors, and see where a color stands in comparison to a printer’s ICC profile.

The spectrophotometer leverages industry-standard measurement modes (M0, M1e, M2), Epson advanced micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) technology, and 7.6-mm aperture combined with 360-degree LED lighting for increased accuracy on textured surfaces. Additional features include quick viewing of a measured color’s L*a*b* value, last two color comparison and delta-E value display, Bluetooth Low Energy technology, and integration with Epson Edge Print software.
