Durst Automated Feeder/Stacker

Two Kuka robots programmed to pick up, feed, and stack media.

Durst has expanded its automation capabilities with the launch of P5 Robotics in its flagship P5 350 HS D4 hybrid roll/board printing system. The platform adds two Kuka robots as a feeder/stacker unit to enable continuous production cycles with long run times. The robots are programmed by Durst to pick up media from different pallets up to 71 in. tall, feed the media, and stack it, with the option to turn printed media 180 degrees for reverse-side printing and feed into a different printing system. The company reports P5 Robotics are compatible with third-party solutions or finishing systems. Additional features include modular configurations, accurate board alignment, media handling versatility, unattended printing, and one-shift nonstop production capabilities.
