Roland DGA Direct-to-Object Flatbeds

Roland DGA’s VersaUV LEC2 S-Series of printers is offered in two flatbed sizes (64 in. and 30 in.), two carriage sizes, and four bed sizes. Engineered for product customization as well as direct printing on flexible and rigid substrates, applications include package prototyping, exhibit graphics, retail and P-O-P displays, interior décor, and more. With eight ink configurations including dual CMYK and CMYKO + red + white + gloss + primer, the LEC2 S-Series utilizes Greenguard Gold-certified eco-UV inks and a True Rich Color preset.

All models offer up to 7.87 in. of height clearance; Reverse Blow setting to remove materials from the bed for smooth operation; separate control tower with touch panels and emergency stop perimeter for the creation of a safe operator area; signal beacon with variable alerts for printer status; and more.

EFI Reggiani Hyper Textile Printer

EFI has revealed the Reggiani Hyper Scanning Textile Printer, available in widths of 70.9 in., 94.5 in., and 118.1 in. The press is engineered to reach print speeds up to 42.7 linear ft/min in two-pass production mode and is compatible with knitted and woven fabrics including cotton, polyester, polyamide, silk, viscose, blends, wool, and more. Applications include apparel, home textiles, sportswear and footwear, and more. Seventy-two recirculating printheads offer 600-dpi res. and full variable drop size while an auto-calibrating continuous ink recirculation system reduces maintenance, according to the company.

Additional features include:

• A double bridge for added stability and accuracy
• Integrated environmental sensor for humidity and temperature monitoring
• A variety of printing modes capable of imaging solid colors, geometric patterns, fine lines, deep blacks, smooth gradients, and more

Beaver Paper has unveiled the TexStyles NatureSeries family of sublimation fabrics designed with CiCLO technology to enable fabrics to biodegrade at the end of its life cycle within three to five years in ideal conditions. TexStyles NatureSeries Soft Knit polyester fabric offers wrinkle resistance, natural white point, NFPA 701 FR rating, availability as a transfer or direct-to-fabric media, and widths up to 124 in. Applications include frontlit displays, soft signage, P-O-P graphics, interior décor, table covers, exhibition displays, and more.

Nekoosa Removable Wall Graphic Media

Nekoosa has revealed new repositionable, removable vinyl films for wall applications. Wall Graphics Microsphere Removable Adhesive film is designed for application surfaces such as smooth, flat painted walls, wallpaper, wood paneling, polished stone, glass, and stainless steel. The film offers up to one year of outdoor durability and is available with 4-, 6-, or 8-mil vinyl facestock. Offered in 54- and 60-in. widths in four finishes: matte white, gloss white, matte clear, or Augusta matte white embossed (latter only available in 6-mil semi-rigid textured film).

Wall Graphics High-Peel Removable Adhesive is a 6-mil, semi-rigid matte white vinyl film rated for up to six months of outdoor use on a range of surfaces including painted plywood, concrete, sheetrock, cinderblock, and textured, low VOC-painted walls. Available with a 90# layflat or 90# air-egress layflat polycoated paper liner in 54-in. rolls.

Senfa Digital Fabric

Senfa has announced a number of digitally printable textiles. The company adds Altimis to its Alternative Collection of recycled printable fabrics; the media is comprised of 100% recycled fibers and coated with Senfa’s smooth finish technology which meets fire-retardancy certifications. Positioned as a greener alternative to PVC substrates, Altimis is engineered for UV and dye sub transfer printing of lightbox and backlit applications. Offered in 126-in. widths. Also joining the Alternative Collection made from recycled plastic bottles is Alterra, available in 126-in. widths.

Aurora Scenic Expressions Wallcoverings

Aurora has announced the launch of Scenic Expressions fabric wallcoverings with Scenic Expressions Taffeta, designed with peel-and-stick adhesive, and paste-applied Scenic Expressions Taffeta Paste. The mediumweight, textured, PVC-free line is finished with proprietary Expressions coating technology for added image quality, color output, and color gamut, according to the company. Scenic Expressions Taffeta features easy-to-apply, easy-to-remove repositionable adhesive engineered to reduce peeling, shrinkage, curling, and wrinkling during installation.

Both products are opaque, dimensionally stable, composed of 100% polyester woven fabric, and designed to mask wall imperfections in both residential and commercial settings. The line meets ASTM F793 Durability Type II for use in heavy-traffic commercial settings like nursing homes and hospitals and has an ASTM E84 Class A Fire Rating. Offered in 54- and 60-in. rolls.

Enfocus has partnered with Dataline to launch the MultiPress Connect app, designed to allow users of MultiPress MIS/ERP software for sign and large-format shops to optimize Switch automation processes with MultiPress data.

Using MultiPress’s extensive, up-to-date CRM/ERP data (such as new/edited contact information, order status, and estimate information), the app can trigger prepress and production workflow automation via Switch integration (such as creating a preflight profile when a customer approves a quote and uploads files or processing files for production after client approval).

Current Switch users can access a limited-functionality version of MultiPress Connect by searching for “MultiPress Connect Lite” in the Enfocus Appstore.
