Xaar Adds Materialise Software to 3D Printing Bundle

Xaar is now offering 3D printing software from Materialise as an option in the company’s additive manufacturing development kit. The bundle, designed for OEMs looking to develop inkjet-enabled 3D printing equipment, also includes printheads, an ink supply system, and drive electronics to control the printhead.

Materialise Magics is a data preparation software engineered to transform 3D models into printable data. Functions include mesh repair, editing, and enhancement.

Materialise Standard Image Build Processor interfaces between the Magics platform and the 3D printer, transitioning models to an inkjet-specific data format. A profile editor allows users to customize this process, enabling multichannel and multipass formats. The program’s pixel fill methods, including gradient fills and tiling, allow users to fill print areas with any pattern.
