The 23rd annual Nature’s Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards Exhibition, sponsored by Epson, is now open to the public at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. Sixty award-winning images depicting the rich beauty and diversity of nature are on display, selected from more than 26,000 entries by outdoor photographers in 59 countries. Winning images capture two zebras nuzzling, a great gray owl protecting a nest full of owlets, an elephant in the midst of a dust bath, Mount Rainier at sunset, and more.
“Continuing our important mission to cultivate and encourage public interest in environmental conservation, we are proud to again represent and showcase the most incredible spectacles of nature through photography,” says Steve Freligh, awards director, in a release. The large-format exhibition prints, ranging from 2 x 3 to 4 x 6 feet in size, were output on an Epson SureColor P20000 machine.
