Seybold San Francisco Announces Tutorial Program

MediaLive International has announced the new tutorial program for Seybold San Francisco 2004. More than 20 half-day courses will be offered, each led by industry experts. The tutorial program will include:

Print publishing tutorials: “Adobe Illustrator Art and Production Techniques” (Sandee Cohen); “InDesign CS for Quark-Experienced Users” (Steve Werner); “Photoshop CS Tips & Tricks” (David Biedny); “Advanced QuarkXpress and InDesign Techniques” (David Blatner); “Advanced Photoshop CS for Power Users” (David Biedny); and “Tips and Tricks for Adobe Products” (David Blatner).

Digital images/advanced media tutorials: “Painting with Photoshop” (Bert Monroy); “Digital Photography Workflow from RAW to Print” (Andrew Rodney); “Digital Video Workflow” (David Biedny); and “Motion Graphics Essentials” (David Biedny).

Color tutorials: “Simplified Color Management” (Chris Murphy); “The Art of the Photoshop Blend” (Dan Margulis); and “The Art of the Photoshop Curve” (Dan Margulis).

PDF tutorials: “Successful PDF Creation” (Stephan Jaeggi); “PDF/X the ISO Standard for Digital Data Exchange” (Stephan Jaeggi); “Interactive PDF Using Acrobat 6 Professional” (Sandee Cohen); “PDF Prepress Production with Acrobat 6 Professional” (Stephan Jaeggi); “PDF Trips and Tricks for Advanced Prepress Users” (Stephan Jaeggi); and “Printing and PDF Using the Adobe Creative Suite” (Lonn Lorenz).

XML tutorials: “Introduction to XML and Print” (Deborah Lapeyre); and “Book/Page Design for XML Documents” (Tommie Usdin).

Platforms tutorials: “Learning Unix for Max OS X” (Dave Taylor).

Web publishing tutorials: “Using Dreamweaver MX in a Web Design Workflow” (Josh Cavalier); “Web Redesign” (Kelly Goto); “Work Smarter and Faster in Fireworks” (Joyce Evans); “Cascading Style Sheets: Beyond the Retrofit” (Molly Holzschlag).
