When James Swanson isn’t running the printed graphics capital of the world – Sin City – (see his award-winning work on page 31) he’s spending time in the great outdoors with Man’s best friend. Swanson has three Labrador Retrievers: Ranger, Charlie, and Finch. While he can’t take them on his Harley-Davidson Road Glide or snowboarding in Tahoe, they can hop onboard his Magic Powerboat. Just imagine Swanson reading his favorite book, “To Kill a Mockingbird,” while lounging with his pups in the sun. But it’s not all R+R. Swanson starts every workday at the gym with a mix of cardio and weights. Then it’s straight to the office. Luckily, the niches he prints for are some of his favorite things: sports, bands, festivals, and casinos.
