Graphics One introduced its Rio 64 digital transfer dye-sub printer at SGIA. The Rio64 is a 64-in.-wide industrial digital dye-sub transfer printer featuring Intelligent Interweaving wave printing technology designed to generate faster print production and better print quality, the company reports. The printer can hit speeds up to 185 sq ft/hr and offers resolutions of 540, 720, and 1440 (10 modes in all, resolution and passes).
The four-color (CMYK) printer utilizes Graphics One’s Rio-Color dye-sub inks and prints on dye-sub paper for transfer onto materials such as banners, flags, pennants, exhibition graphics, floor graphics, POP displays, prototypes, sports goods, apparel, personalized interior goods (curtain, sheets, etc.) and more.
Price of the Rio64: $20,995. A Wasatch SoftRIP is optional.
The company also introduced its 1204 LA for the Latin American markets. The 1204 LA is a 48-in.-wide printer designed for imaging high-resolution graphics for indoor and outdoor applications, including posters, banners, backlit signage, POP displays, stickers, and photo-realistic prints. Features include speeds up to 100 sq ft/hr (in production mode), resolutions of 540, 720, and 1440 dpi (10 modes-resolutions and passes), media drying system (individually controlled pre-, platen, and post-heaters), EcoOne Pro ink that can print on coated and uncoated media, and outdoor durability of up to three years.
Price of the 1204 LA: $13,495.
