New Media From MacTac

MacTac has expanded its Imagin B-free line of films to include Imagin B-Free 5929 Plus and the Imagin B-Free 5800 series.

Imagin B-Free 5929 Plus is a 2.7-mil glossy white film designed for long-term outdoor signage and may be digitally printed or screen printed. It can be paired with the company's PermaColor RayZor gloss and matte overlaminates and PermaColor Enhancer laminates. Imagin B-Free 5800 is a 3.8-mil gloss intermediate film designed for large indoor and medium-term outdoor signage; it can be used in conjunction with MacTac's new PermaColor ColorGard overlaminate (see below). Both new Imagin films employ MacTac's air-egress, bubble-free technology, and both accept solvent, eco-solvent, and UV-cured inks; both films are also backed by an 80-lb poly-coated liner to increase printability. B-free 5929 Plus and B-free 5800 are currently available in 54' rolls.

Mactac also has launched its Imagin M-Series of intermediate vinyls, which includes Imagin EM328P and Imagin EM329P, designed for solvent, eco-solvent and UV-curable inks. Imagin EM328P is a 3.2-mil matte white PVC vinyl film and Imagin EM329P is a 3.2-mil glossy white PVC film; both media are coated with opaque acrylic adhesive and feature a 72-lb poly liner. The M-Series is recommended for medium-term P-O-P signage and outdoor promotions; typical applications include doors, cylindrical pillars, and other flat and slightly curved surfaces. The M-Series features an indoor durability of five to six years and an outdoor durability of four years. M-series products are available in 30', 54' and 60' rolls.

In addition, the company has debuted its Permacolor ColorGard series of overlaminates, which includes a 3.2-mil vinyl backed by a 1.5 poly liner, with a clear adhesive designed to adhere to UV-printed graphics (as well as solvent and eco-solvent graphics). ColorGard is durable for three to five years and can protect medium-term indoor applications such as menu boards, P-O-P signage, and more. Permacolor ColorGard films are available in matte and luster finishes. Available in widths from 30 to 60 in.
