The newest version (4.0) of Pictographics' iCorrect? EditLab software is designed to improve the productivity of professional digital photographers and photo labs by making it easier to obtain color-accurate images at the capture stage. The Adobe Photoshop plug-in is promoted as a fast and simple way to professionally color correct digital pictures and profile them in an ICC-color-managed workflow. With the new version, users can quickly edit ICC input profiles for digital cameras and scanners and also create ICC profiles from a color-corrected image.
In addition, iCorrect EditLab 4.0 is Photoshop action enabled, meaning that it can automatically batch process images to meet certain color-correction parameters.
iCorrect EditLab is the flagship product in Pictographics? iCorrect family of point-and-click color-correction products. In the ColorSmart? mode, iCorrect EditLab automatically analyzes an image and sequentially sets the optimum starting points of four color-control areas (gray balance, white/black point, brightness/contrast/saturation, and hue-selective editing). Then, all that's left is the much simpler task of making small refinements.
The plug-in lists for $99.95 and is compatible with Photoshop 5, 6 and 7 and Elements 1 and 2 and available in Mac and PC versions. (Pictographics: www.picto.com)
