According to Wacom Technology, more than 2 million photographers and designers worldwide use its pen tablets to retouch photos and create art digitally.
One user is Hollywood photographer Vincent Versace, who candidly shares some of what he knows about digital workflows on a 73-minute DVD that is being billed as Volume 1 of a series entitled Digital Innovators.
On the 73-minute DVD, Versace provides a detailed look at the steps involved in retouching a Hollywood portrait including planning the retouch, using the healing brush, enlarging the eyes, lighting the face, and sharpening. He also talks about lighting in Photoshop, pop-up menus, adjustment layers, soft masks, color correcting, and butterfly lighting. He also show the steps involved in a enhancing a floral photo, including color correcting for blue, adjusting tonal range, selective muting, sharpening and contract, black and white conversion, sepia toning and adding blue and noise.
