New Kurabo Scanner Controls Light Intensity

Paradigm Imaging Group is now distributing the Kurabo KK-IS-A1FW Plus wide-format flatbed scanner, a 24 x 36-in. model with an 800-dpi optical resolution and a 1600-dpi max. resolution. Dpi is adjustable by increments of 1 within the range of 50 to 1600. Applications include museum art, textiles, and delicate documents.

The Plus model’s Dual White LED system offers forward and backward scanning, as well as the ability to control light intensity, bringing out shadows in textured images for a 3D effect. Scanning speed can reach 17.5 sec in 400-dpi mode for a 24 x 36-in. document. A Gigabit Ethernet interface is compatible with PCs using Windows 7, 8, and 10. It also features a built-in document counter.
