In wrapping this Amtrak commuter train to promote McDonald’s McCafe coffees, DGI Invisuals had to pay special attention to the train’s corrugated surface and use a custom template as well as some special measuring techniques.

DGI turned to its EFI Vutek UltraVu 150 with 3M 1500 Series inks for output, printing onto 3M’s IJ180C vinyl, perf window film, and CAD-cut vinyl. Finish work comprised a Seal 6000 laminator with 3M 8519 laminate and a Zund router. The 2000-square-foot wrap remains installed on the Boston-to-Washington run for six weeks.
