Mainline Printing to Drop $10 Million on Expansion Project

Mainline Printing (Topeka, KS) will spend $10 million over the next five years to move into and outfit a 90,000-square-foot building that formerly housed a Gordmans retail store.

It will be the second facility for the 64-year-old printing and packaging company, which includes Mainline Holographics and Mainline Signs. The Gordmans building had stood vacant since early 2020.

The expansion will create up to 20 new full-time jobs with an average salary of $40,000 plus benefits, according to a release from Topeka and Shawnee County’s Joint Economic Development Organization. Mainline was also awarded a $250,000 performance-based incentive from the organization.

“I am pleased Mainline Printing recognizes the strength of the Kansas workforce, which allows the company to continue innovating right here in Topeka,” Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly said in the release. “Mainline is a made-in-Kansas success story that keeps getting bigger.”
