HP has announced its 2008 HP Indigo Progressive Print Competition, designed to showcase the capabilities of the Indigo presses. All HP Indigo users are welcome to join the competition, which includes best-of-category prizes in marketing collateral, photo specialty, direct marketing, and publishing applications, as well as an 'other' category for, 'special, innovative, and inspirational entries.' The company is seeking submissions on various papers and specialty substrates.
The top three winners in each category will be announced at the HP customer dinner at Drupa on June 3. Numerous entries will also adorn HP's booth at the event.
'We are excited about this global contest because it presents an opportunity to highlight how customers everywhere are successfully levering the look and feel of offset available with HP Indigo,' says Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager of the company's Indigo division.
Other contest specifics:
* Jobs requested by and printed for HP are not allowed.
* All jobs must have been produced on an HP Indigo press, but may also combine other printing techniques.
* A panel of industry experts will judge the entries.
* Prizes will be awarded to category winners.
Final deadline for submission is April 25; there is no entry fee.
