It’s every artist’s dream to see their work glorified on a large scale. Boylan Imaging in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, helped graphic design artist Hello it’s Matilda achieve that dream by turning her captivating floral designs into stunning wallpaper. Hello it’s Matilda received an inquiry asking if it was possible to transform her floral artwork into wallpaper, something she had never done before. Being new to the area, the graphic designer reached out locally to Boylan Imaging for help – the print shop knew exactly what to do. Using an HP Latex 360 printer, they printed her design onto Drytac ReTac Linen Textures large-format print media, which the shop uses regularly because of its polymeric removable vinyl.
“Anyone can work with this product as it doesn’t have to be professionally installed,” says John Boylan, owner and manager of Boylan Imaging. “The wallpaper project for Hello it’s Matilda went very smoothly.” The collaboration between Boylan Imaging and Hello it’s Matilda was lauded on social media, garnering more online orders. “Dreams come true,” says the artist. “Hand printed illustration converted into wallpaper by the amazing Boylan Imaging!”
