Eye-Opening Campaign Wins OBIE

The 2015 OBIE awards, hosted by the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, celebrated simple advertising strategies that stirred up genuine feelings in its audience. “These winning campaigns need no explanation,” as the awards website put it.

The “Childhood Photos” campaign for homelessness advocate Raising the Roof, designed by the Leo Burnett agency of Toronto, jolted viewers with side-by-side images of displaced people and their childhood selves. The movement won gold in the International category.
