DPP Europe Explores Corrugated Market
August 25, 2017

Smithers Pira’s 2017 will address the growth of digital print in the corrugated industry, particularly the display packaging and retail-ready sectors. An increase in the number of discounter retailers and the growth of online shopping, personalization, and brand customization will drive an expected market value increase of $26 billion between 2015 and 2021, according to a release.

To address the growing “print-on-demand” market, DPP Europe will host the “How Digital Print Drives Growth in Folding Cartons and Corrugated Packaging” session at 9 a.m. on December 7. The session will include case study presentations from Bobst, Industrial Inkjet, Xerox, Kodak, and more.

 

SGP Hosts Community Day in Portland
August 29, 2017

The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) will host SGP Community Day for print professionals, brands, and sustainable businesses on November 14 in Portland, Oregon. Under the theme of “Where Sustainability Meets Print,” the conference will include presentations and discussions on procurement, circular economy, and sustainable practices from industry leaders in an effort to cultivate strategic programs and partnerships. Following the event, SGP will host a networking dinner for leading brands and members of the SGP community to further discuss sustainability practices across multiple industries.

 

Sun Chemical Partners with Spectracorp

Sun Chemical has partnered with Spectracorp to expand product offerings in North America. Sun Chemical will repackage its Streamline solvent inks into containers of different sizes, such as cartridges and pouches, to better serve its customer base as wide-format printer models evolve and require different packaging sizes.

 

Roland, Avery Dennison Offer Workflow Webinar
August 29, 2017

Roland DGA and Avery Dennison will partner to conduct a free webinar on September 7 at 1 p.m. about workflow and software approaches. The class, “Improve Your Print Quality with Expert Workflow Strategies,” will address overcoming challenges involving file preparations, media selection, and more. Roland DGA Application Specialist Garrett Smawley and Avery Dennison Technical Services Rep David Timmerman will lead the hour-long session, covering topics such as optimizing graphics files, making informed decisions about print media, configuring RIP settings for optimal print quality, and understanding how color profiling affects prints.
