DigiFab Systems has announced the StampaJet, an 8-color, high-speed, textile digital printer for high-quality production runs on textile substrates-from soft signage, flag and banner, and industrial applications to apparel and home furnishings. Featuring extra-wide variable-dot Epson printheads with 1440 nozzles/head, the 64-in. machine can reach a production speed of up to 39 linear yards/hr (886 sq ft/hr @ 540 x 720 dpi) and a top resolution of 1440 dpi. The printer uses a self-cleaning adhesive belt transport system to prevent substrate movement.
Other features include a large-capacity, bulk ink feed system (2000-ml tanks), a laser device to check on-the-fly nozzle efficiency and prevent print faults, a rotating brush-washing unit to remove excess ink from the adhesive blanket, and two hot-air infrared dryers to dry printed fabric.
Available ink types include dye, reactive, disperse, acid, and pigment. Note: Post processing using steam (or heat fixing) and washing are required to finish the printed textiles for production quality.
Price: $159,000, including DigiFab’s Evolution Textile RIP and coloring software.
