Registration for the 2009 National Environmental, Health and Safety (NEHS) Conference is now open, event coordinators have announced. The event–which addresses sustainability, environmental, health, safety, and HR issues for the printing industry across all platforms-is scheduled to take place March 16-18, 2009, at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre in Indiana.
New this year for the event are half-day, in-depth pre-conference workshops, which will hit on topics such as:
* Developing sustainability management systems;
* Meeting environmental and safety compliance;
* Establishing sustainability metrics; and
* Sharing updates on new employment law issues.
'Sustainable green printing is one of the most significant issues that the printing industry has had to respond to in years,' says Gary Jones, director of environmental health and safety, Printing Industries of America, one of the event's co-sponsors. 'The 2009 NEHS Conference will provide information to help printers respond to their customers' demands for green printing. It is particularly ideal for companies intent on being certified as sustainable, green printers.'
