BUCKNELL UNIVERSITY’S PLAN to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its iconic Sigmund and Claire Wes Center for the Performing Arts involved the need for a colorful, mesmerizing display. The school relied on members of its Publications, Print, and Mail department to create a larger-than-life installation. The print team decided to utilize the building’s 20 windows – spanning a total of 677 square feet – for the installation.
It was the perfect canvas to display BU’s performing arts offerings.
Publications, Print, and Mail used its Roland VersaCamm VS-540i eco-solvent printer onto Mactac’s Imagin WindowView perforated one-way visibility window film. “Initially, the graphics were only intended to be up for one year, but because of the project’s great success, we print and install new graphics on the Weis Center every year,” says Tom Lydon, director of Bucknell’s Publications, Print, and Mail. “Additionally, as a result of the success, the rest of the campus departments have also requested graphics.”
