Best Launches Designer Edition for Mac OS X

At the CeBIT 2003 graphic-arts show in Hanover Germany, the Best division of EFI showcased the Mac OS X version of their Best Designer Edition proofing software. The PostScript RIP software with integrated ICC-color-management capabilities allows designers working in OS X to print color-accurate proofs on the latest models of inkjet printers directly from popular graphics applications. It supports file formats such as PostScript (composite or separated), TIFF (RGB or CMYK), PDF 1.4, and EPS.

For designers working with Quark XPress and inkjet printers not supported by Mac OS X, the Best Designer Edition also contains a version for Mac OS 9 including tools for color-accurate proofs in continuous-tone reproduction. (Best GmbH: www.bestcolor.com).
