Zimmer's ChromoJet MP digital printing system can print full-color images and identity-building directly on the rubber-backed entrance mats used extensively at the entrances of homes, businesses, stores, and institutional environments. The printer's proprietary dye infusion system enables dyes to deeply penetrate carpet piles and provide permanent, rich, well-defined colors. An in-line finishing station can be used to apply an optional ChromoGuard? protective coating. The ChromoJet MP can print full-color images on mats up to 5-ft. wide ad an unlimited length. Standard mat sizes are 2 x 3 ft, 3 x 4 ft, 3 x 5 ft, and 4 x 6 ft.
The printer is controlled by a standard PC and driven by a proprietary print driver. Mat designs created in standard graphics software can be sent to the machine as JPEG or Bitmap files.
The vegetable-based concentrates used in the dye infusion system are non-toxic and free of VOCs (volatile organic compounds), meaning that the excess can be washed down the drain without special permits or restrictions. Up to 16 standard spot colors are available; custom-matched colors can be special ordered.
The digitally printed and finished mats can withstand commercial cleaning, ice, heat, sun exposure and heavy foot traffic.
The ChromoJet MP is being distributed in the US by Mat-Master America of Mt. Laurel, NJ. For sign shops and other resellers of corporate identity products, Mat-Master America will print and deliver mats to order. Mat-Master uses eye-catching, slip-resistant, rubber-backed, cut-pile mats.
