Xara Upgrades Photo and Graphics Designer

Xara has announced version 11 of its Photo and Graphics Designer software, featuring an enhanced Brush Tool that stretches vector or bitmap images along a freehand-drawn line. Textured brush effects include paint, chalk, and watercolor; or, users can create their own brush designs. Version 11 can also sync files with cloud-based storage programs such as Dropbox and Google Drive. The Shape Painter tool has been expanded with new shape editing tools and web- and PDF-safe blend modes such as Overlay, Hard Light, Soft Light, Luminosity, and Color. In addition, new text features include autocorrect, background color options, one-click font replacement, and improved PDF import and export.
