Inglewood, California’s historic Randy’s Donuts presented a unique wrapping challenge in the form of a gigantic doughnut. “You can’t just stick vinyl to it,” says Masoud Rad, COO of CR&A Custom. So the fabric printing company turned one-stop shop put their garment industry background to work for the installation of a 2500-square-foot curved wrap promoting Disney’s “Zootopia” onto Randy’s famous doughnut structure.

CR&A printed the design from Disney onto Fisher Textiles GF 4831 Heavy Knit polyester fabric in 10-foot segments using their HP Latex 3100 printer. The panels were then stitched together, darted around the perimeter, and reinforced onsite. Installation took around six hours as a team of six worked close to hungry customers lining up for sweet treats at the 24-hour drive-through.
