The.factory Expands Capabilities

Although some ink manufacturers are waiting for the market to develop further before introducing alternative inks optimized for different materials, 3M has heeded the call for greater choices in UV-curable inks. Users of the 3M Printer 2500UV will be able to switch between a general-purpose ink for typical promotional applications, and a higher durability, more flexible ink for use in producing fleet graphics. 3M is also testing its new formulation of ink for use in printing signs on rigid materials that are then vacuum formed for greater depth and dimension.
