Picture magazine announced today that San Francisco-based
freelance writer Jake Widman has joined the staff as Contributing
Editor. In his new position, Widman will write and edit feature
stories, cover product news, and help guide the work of other
members of The Big Picture staff. In addition, Widman will
write a column that will appear exclusively on The Big
Picture's affiliated website, www.bigpicture.net.
Widman's experience covering digital design and prepress spans
nearly two decades, beginning when he joined the staff of
Publish magazine in 1986. He was editor-in-chief at
Publish from 1992-1998 and following that became
editor-in-chief at I/O magazine from 1999-2001. As a freelance
writer, Widman has specialized in topics that include digital asset
management and digital rights protection.
