In order to promote the expansion of America’s oldest brewery into other states, Yuengling has created the Tailgating Trailer Giveaway. During the promotion, beer drinkers can strive to win a Little Guy 5-wide Platform teardrop trailer by sending a text message to the short-code number with a keyword that’s found on all sweepstakes point-of-sale materials.

And, of course these giveaway trailers weren’t going to be your average, bare trailer. They needed to be decked out in Yuengling graphics. So, in came Dr. Wraps (www.drwraps.com), a full-service vehicle wrap shop in Canton, Ohio, to do the job.

“We have a great working relationship and are the official graphics provider for the trailer company, Little Guy Worldwide,” says Debbie Hailstone, vice president of Dr. Wraps. “We supply and install all of their wraps.”

Dr. Wraps designed the graphics from the provided Yuengling elements using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and SAi FlexiSign-Pro. “We had communications with Yuengling to discuss files, resolution, setup, etc. They also gave us final approval of the design,” says Hailstone.

Each 148-inch-long trailer required 125 square feet of material. Dr. Wraps chose 3M Controltac IJ180-CV3 vinyl to be printed via its Mimaki JV3-130SPII solvent printer with Mimaki OEM SS2 Ink. Printing took four hours per trailer.

Dr. Wraps used a Royal Sovereign RSC 1400C cold laminator with 3M 8518 gloss overlaminate. One installer (occasionally two) was assigned per trailer, taking two hours to complete the wrap.

“So far, we've wrapped 110 trailers, with more scheduled next year,” says Hailstone.
