Surf's Up

Modern Image of Huntington Beach, CA, utilized a Honda Element to great effect in helping Alpine Electronics turn heads at the 2004 US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, CA, an event that brings together top surfers from around the globe. Modern Image produced the Element's cityscape graphics, titled “Beyond Stereo,” with a Roland SOLJET SC-540EX using Eco-SOL ink and premium cast vinyl.

Modern Image won three awards for this project at the 2004 Andre Schellenberg competition, held in conjunction with SGIA in Minneapolis: Best in Show, Best in Digital Creativity, and the Schellenberg Award for the Inkjet category. (Modern Image: www.modernimage.net)
